Date: January 8-13, 2017.
The third Nucleo-MPII workshop will bring together researchers mainly from Chile and Germany in the design of approximation algorithms for combinatorial problems. During the workshop we will also hold the first anual meeting of the Universidad de Chile / MPII joint collaboration grant PII20150140 “Fast Approximation Algorithms for Massive Data Sets”, which will strenghten the international connections of Nucleus.
The activities will be held at the Nucleus Offices located at the Departamento de Ingeniería industrial, Universidad de Chile. Detailed information for participants is available in this document.
Several Nucleus researchers are delivering keynote/plenary/invited talks at international conferences during 2016.
Roberto Cominetti will deliver keynote talk at the XVIII CLAIO, the Latin-Iberoamerican Conference on Operations Research, 2016. Check out here for further information.
Jose Correa and Gonzalo Navarro will respectively deliver a keynote talk and a tutorial in LATIN 2016, the 12th Latin American Theoretical Informatics Symposium.
Finally, Jose Correa will deliver a semi-plenary lecture in the Annual International Conference on Operations Research of the German Operations Research Society OR 2016 .
The second French-Chilean workshop on Algorithms and Dynamics for Games and Optimization (ADGO) will be held in Santiago during the last week of January 2016 (25-29).
The workshop is a formal activity of the French-Chilean Network on “Algorithms and Dynamics for Games and Optimization”, with financial support from Iniciativa Científica Milenio and the participating institutions of GdR MOA. Participants are expected to present their ongoing research and focus on specific open problems with the prospective of developing collaborations in the framework of the Network.
For further information see the workshop website HERE.
