Nucleus School in Havana

The Nucleus organized the first version of a new itinerant school in Information and Coordination in Networks. This first edition took place at Universidad de La Habana, Cuba, November 16-20, 2015. The school format will, in subsequent years, be brought to different countries in Latin America.

 

The courses of the school were:

  • Algorithms in continuous optimization (Prof. Juan Peypouquet)
  • Algorithmic aspects of the probabilistic method (Prof. Marcos Kiwi)
  • Graph theory (Prof. Maya Stein)

Each course consisted in 5 lecture hours and 6 hours of problem solving sessions. In total over sixty cuban students attended the school.
